The Deal

Following a welcome drink and short introduction on the history of chocolate production, groups of up to twenty budding chocolatiers will learn the art of tempering chocolate to give it the desired shine and snap, as well as techniques for colour and lustre effects. They'll taste some varied offerings from around the world, before taking home their own designs, wrapped to give as a gift or keep as a treat. Guests can also peruse the chocolatier's retail store armed with a 10% discount, or opt to use it on future bookings for workshops.

Groupon Asks Jeanne Kelley, owner of Colchester's The Chocolate Studio, about her motivation and method of teaching.

G: What made you want to work in the chocolate industry?

G: Which famous person do you think would create the tastiest chocolate and why?

"Stephen Fry with his wit, humour, and intelligence and his love of all foods. He'd make some pure, rich and indulgent dark chocolate with a hint of warm spice."
