The Deal

Handy men and women can DIY-themselves savvy during a one-day practical workshop for beginners. In a group workshop, general techniques covering hammers, nails, screwdrivers, spanners and ladders will be taught, allowing students to have hands-on practise following detailed demonstrations. Alternatively, DIY amateurs can hone in on their wallpapering skills for the day, learning how to paste, hang and splice wallpaper fit for their homes. All equipment is provided, and customers can choose to combine both options if they wish, forming a two-day intensive course.

The Merchant

With training centres in Birmingham and Stockport, The DIY School offers in-depth tuition on a variety of home renovation techniques, including woodwork, tiling, plastering and bricklaying. While workshops for DIY learners look to help those with repairs and renovations at home, courses are also available for those looking to enter the construction industry or develop existing skills.
