The Museum
The Helicopter Museum celebrates the history of rotorcraft aviation at a varied Weston-super-Mare site. During their 25th anniversary celebrations, visitors can browse a collection of over eighty helicopters from around the world. Film resources, artefacts and multimedia displays deliver further insight into the world of the chopper and the site also features a working helipad, and a conservation area. Open cockpit days are regularly held, as well as seasonal, themed events. Halloween’s Family Fun Day will allow guests to climb aboard the haunted helicopter and meet costumed characters, real owls, bats, spiders, snakes and creepy crawlies. Also, at Christmas there will be a Carol Concert, when Santa arrives by helicopter to host a day of seasonal activities.
