Baked camembert with chutney and herb toast (usually £4.50), and butter chilli king prawns (£4) feature on The Patriots Arms starter menu. Mains are equally as varied, with dishes such as the doubled-up chilli cheese burger with onion rings, chips and salad (£12.95), and oven-baked vegetable lasagne (£9.45). Alternatively, diners with a sweet tooth can drop the starter and punt for a dessert from the daily specials menu (up to £4.50).

The Merchant
Flying the Unions Flag with pride, The Patriots Arms is a classic village pub and restaurant on the fringes of the Marlborough Downs. The establishment is child-friendly, with a pirate-themed climbing frame setting sail for adventurous younger visitors. Adults can also take advantage of the pub’s beer garden.
