Sitting down to a two-course meal at The Quicken Tree Restaurant, patrons may select a starter such as confit of duck leg served with shredded Chinese salad, cashew nuts, hoisin sauce and pancakes (usually £6.25), or deep-fried crusted brie served with apple, walnut and cranberry, and a port coulis (£4.85). For the main course, diners may tuck into a dish such as duck with celeriac puree, pak choi, pickled girooe mushrooms and a five spice jus (£19.95), confit of beef blade served with garlic creamy potatoes, fresh vegetables and a red wine jus (£15.75), or deep fried falafel balls served with baby gem lettuce, avocado, roasted tomatoes, sour cream and sweet chilli (£9.45).

The Merchant

Located within the grounds of the Heart of England Conference & Events Centre, set on a 160-acre Warwickshire countryside site, The Quicken Tree Restaurant offers meals, refreshments and sweeping views of lawns and lakes. Using locally sourced ingredients, the chef and his team expertly prepare British and European classics in the glass fronted kitchen. Breakfast, sandwiches and a range of children’s favourites are also offered. The contemporary interior sports ambient lighting, wooden furnishings and brightly coloured feature walls while a garden offers terrace seating.
