The interactive exhibits are designed to engage and inform visitors about the local ecology, and include live cameras out on the Firth of Forth islands. Visitors control the cameras to zoom in on the wildlife action – at this time of year you can see seal pups, cormorants, shags and winter waders. There’s also a Turtle and Ray Zone, Wildlife Theatre with nature films, a Kids’ Zone and a café which looks out onto the iconic Bass Rock.

Open almost every day of the year, The Scottish Seabird Centre provides adventurous excursions for animal lovers of all ages. Set on the coast at North Berwick, the centre lets visitors learn all about the local marine life, from puffins and gannets to dolphins and seals, and gives close-up imaging of the live action, without any disturbance to the wildlife. An education and conservation charity, the centre works with environmental agencies to help raise awareness of local issues.
