What does skin tag or mole removal involve?
Minor surgical removal of one wart, skin tag or small cysts. The treatment includes the use of a local anaesthetic and is conducted by a fully qualified surgeon who is a specialist in minor operations, with an initial consultation and use of local anaesthetic included. Patients first have a consultation with the doctor, who confirms the suitability for the procedure and answers any questions. If patients are suitable and agree to have the treatment, they can either book an appointment or in most cases, carry out the procedure at the time. The procedure will last around 20 minutes, and a follow up appointment may be required.
What happens afterwards?
The area will form a scab which will last a few days and should be left to naturally come away from the skin to avoid the risk of scarring. No follow up treatments are required.
Is any preparation needed?
Customers may choose to seek the advice of their GP before undergoing treatment. If deemed unsuitable a full refund will be provided.
Who is suitable?
Customers with lesions which are sinister or complex and need further investigation including biopsy studies or will need follow up appointments may be considered unsuitable.
