Customers can pop into The Waiting Room for a spot of afternoon tea from Tuesday to Friday and on Sundays. Nibbles include two sandwiches, homemade cakes and scones with clotted cream and jam, and are accompanied by a pot of tea.

The Merchant
A stone’s throw away from Totteridge and Whetstone tube station, The Waiting Room is a tea room and home store. Setup by three friends, the cafe serves a range of breakfast and lunch light bites, including pancakes with bacon or fresh fruit and warm halloumi and chilli jam on olive bread. The store also offers original pieces for the homestead, with various trinkets like lamps, candlesticks, adornments and dinnerware dotted around. The eatery also hosts a monthly supper club, with a different theme mixing up the event each time.
