With your admission ticket in hand, step inside Bamburgh Castle — nestled on a rocky outcrop above the Northumberland coastline — to begin your independent tour. Wander through the 14 state rooms to the spectacular King’s Hall and admire the impressive beamed roof. Discover more than 3,000 exhibits and artifacts, and gain insight into Bamburgh Castle’s colorful history.

During your self-guided tour, admire paintings, pieces of artwork, furniture, arms and armor, and marvel at the impressive collections of ancient china and porcelain. Then, visit the Armstrong and Aviation Artefacts Museum — home to displays covering the life of the 1st Lord Armstrong and the two World Wars.
