Highlights
Located a short distance from the heart of London, a traditional blacksmith's forge will give you the opportunity to try something new and exciting, while paying homage to the king of trades, without which which the world as we know it wouldn't exist.
Perfect for those looking for something different, spending some time with a hammer and anvil helps de-stress, clears the mind, and acts as a great workout at the same time.
The ability to show loved ones the products you have made will provide memories to last a lifetime... and give substantial bragging rights.
About This Deal
Itinerary
On this half-day workshop you will be guided through the process of making two items:
1) Rustic Steel Hook
By making this first you will get comfortable with holding and wielding a hammer safely and effectively, and learn how metal moves under pressure. You will have a chance to get experience of how hot to heat the steel, and how to operate a gas forge safely.
2) Bottle Opener
You will then be guided through each step to create a fully forged metal bottle opener - a thing of beauty that you will treasure for life. Should you wish, there is an opportunity to customise your bottle opener at the end of forging, and make it unique to you.
To close the session we will have a debrief, and take the chance to use your newly crafted bottle opener to open a cold drink, either a beer (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), or a soft drink, as desired.
At the end of the workshop you will go home with two fully finished items that you have made yourself, and the satisfaction that comes with learning a new skill.
No prior experience is necessary, and all safety equipment will be provided.
