Highlights
An hour well spent in the beautiful Glenfinnan area of Loch Shiel. We will view the viaduct made famous in the Harry Potter films and tell you all about it. We also explain the significance of the monument at Glenfinnan and explain a little about its history and the reason it is there. We then explore the north end of Loch Shiel. Firstly we pass the place featured in the Tri-wizard tournament in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. We then pass the salmon farm and bird nesting islands and the point where Hogwarts was based in several of the Harry Potter films. We then make it to Prince's bay where "Bonnie Prince Charlie" rested before raising his standard at Glenfinnan in August 1745. Keep your eyes open for Golden eagles who frequent the hills and use our binoculars to get a better look at these huge birds of prey.
