Step inside, and you’ll discover a treasure trove of quirks and legends. Known for its traditional feel, with a Venison dish always on the menu, the pub’s charm extends to its unique features, like the marble-tiled floor, repurposed from the nearby Cathedral, and the rare "Horsebox" bar. This cozy nook boasts one of only six surviving pewter-topped bars in the country, along with a beautifully carved wooden arch and several rare features, it is rumoured that Winston Churchill and Dwight Eisenhower once plotted in the Horsebox Bar while planning the D-Day landings in 1944.
