A traditional two-course pub meal can be enjoyed in idyllic surrounds at We Three Loggerheads. Parties of up to six can choose from a list of starters including garlic mushrooms in puff pasty with deep fried leaks and stilton and rosemary sauce, or warm breast of wood pigeon with winter berries and curly kale (both usually £5.50). Main courses on offer include the vegetarian option of red pepper and walnut Wellington with goats cheese and tomato and chive sauce (£11.25), and a winter-warming lamb shank with mash, curly kale and roasted vegetables, plus a redcurrant and rosemary jus (£15.95. Diner can opt to accompany meals with a choice of house wine or a soft drink each (up to £3.35).

The Merchant

We Three Loggerheads is nestled at the entrance to Loggerheads Country Park where patrons can enjoy a merrily stroll before or after a drink or meal. Surrounded by beautiful woodlands and Welsh countryside, the 17th-century coaching inn has outside seating where guests can admire the view of the adjacent River Alyn, while upstairs sits a vaulted restaurant producing home-cooked meals served with a variety of wines and cask ales. A relaxed bar area welcomes guests downstairs for a casual drink. Live music can also be enjoyed on occasional weekends to bring a musical element to the pub experience.
