The Merchant
Significantly historical, Ye Olde Salutation Inn dates back to 1240 where it originates as a tanners workshop. During the English Civil War, both opposing sides set up camp in its environs where eventually due to religious implications, it was renamed the Soldier and Citizen. Following an extension in 1966, they have grown from strength to strength to become a must-see location on Nottingham’s Maid Marian Way.
