Manchester Airport serves passengers visiting far-flung destinations, and has plenty of third-party car parks to match, including valet parking. Here are some of your options:
You definitely want to get to your Manchester parking in good time. That way, you can relax at the airport, and have no worries about missing your flight. Quite how early you want to arrive, however, depends on the car park operator.
Some will allow you to get there up to six hours early (or late on your return journey, for that matter) with no additional fee. Some aren’t as flexible, however, so it’s best to be as accurate with an arrival time as you can and contact them if you’re held up. Most will let you change your booking until 24 hours before your reservation.
There is a train service that runs right to the airport – convenient and cost-effective if you’re travelling solo. However, you might not want to rely on a train schedule for reaching your flight, especially around rush hours, when the lines can get busy.
Another option is a private shuttle transfer. Prices can be more reasonable than you expect, especially if you can get a good deal on your transport. It certainly beats wrestling your suitcase into an overhead luggage rack!
Maybe, and in certain cases where you’re flying at the 11th hour, you might have little choice. But it isn’t recommended for both cost, and availability.
The most obvious risk is that you end up paying well over the odds. Last-minute bookings can come with a price penalty, and reduces your chances of getting the best deals. That said, it’s always worth checking, just in case.
It’s also possible that the operators you find are fully booked. It’s possible that some of the Manchester airport car parks will be full, especially during peak season. This is one of those ‘book early to avoid disappointment’ situations!
