From Our Editors

Shepreth Wildlife Park is home to an array of animal inhabitants and family activities. Originally starting as a private sanctuary in 1979, the site opened its doors to the public in the mid ’80s and has since gone on to provide a home to various exotic residents, including tigers, monkeys and insects. A gift shop stocks various mementos, with an assortment of adoption packages also available, and free parking is available on site, with Shepreth train station located a short walk away.

The train was not running due to staff shortages, animals seemed so miserable and lots of them were not out or on display.

There was a problem with the disabled toilet facility which my companion discovered. I was very impressed with fact that the senior staff member on duty (I think it might have been Rebecca Willers) came and found us to apologise and also told us the outcome before we left. That sort of personal touch makes visitors feel extra welcome.

Would have thought that you could have more rabbits as I counted only about 6 in such a nice area for the children to pet. There are always many rabbits that need good homes which you could take on. I know it is very expensive to run a wildlife park but I think it could do with a spruce up looking a bit dated. My grandchild was disappointed that the train wasn't running, the notice did not state that it was out of season so not sure why or when the train rides start. Only one tractor in the sandpit a few more would be good as children enjoy these, could make more of this cheaply.....just little things would make a difference. Animals are the most important thing and they look healthy but need more stimulation! Keep up the good work in these difficult times.

I love your park and would come more often if under 5s were free, or much cheaper.
