Disappointing. Would not book again and certainly would not recommend. Very poor as a Spa Day but could not fault the afternoon tea.

The facilities & staff are nice, however having visited the spa for the last few years I found the treatments have gone downhill mainly due to the beauty therapists seeming very junior & inexperienced. The deal does offer great value for money however I don't think I'd go back. First treatment I was booked in for was a massage. At no point prior to the massage was I asked whether I had any problem areas to work on so none of the knots in my back were worked on. The lights were on bright so I spent the whole treatment looking down at the beauty therapists pair of trainers that she must have walked to work in and decided to store underneath the massage bed. Second treatment was a facial. I have enjoyed mainly decleor facials here in the past where the therapists have asked about my skin type and after the facial even recommended specific products to try. They are now using Elemis & my skin type and any recommendations on products weren't even discussed which was a shame. The afternoon tea was lovely.

This spa really needs some updating and care. Split and damaged seating in the changing area. Lockers with no battery, so they wouldn’t lock. Mould on the shower fittings. Far too many people packed in so we couldn’t have the treatments we wanted. Barely anywhere to sit as so busy. Noisy, dirty in lots of places. It felt cheap rather than luxurious. The treatments and Lunch were nice.

Good treatments. However, receptionist at spa could have been more helpful with treatment booking and lunch order. There should be a printed menu of treatments readily available at reception when booking for customers to look at.

Lovely facial and massage but did not feel relaxed in the spa area due to lots of children in the pool and noise.

I can’t fault the treatments , food or staff at the hotel they were all great. It is not an ideal place for a spa day as there are only 4 loungers next to the hot tub and the pool is not really very spacious to allow you to sit there all day. The pool could also do with a clean. Treatments and therapists were great and value for money. They could do with a patio area outside the pool so you could relax outside on a nice day

The staff there were very pleasant but the facilities to relax are not great and it was very hard to get hold of them to book in the first place, I finally got through and booked but there was no record of the booking when we arrived on the day

Appreciate the health club here is used by hotel guests and they have to accommodate their members, but I don't think it is fair to call this a "spa". The facilities were very basic, just a swimming pool with poolside sauna, steam room, jacuzzi. There wasn't any space around the pool and very limited number of seats to relax in. We were meant to be there for a full day but thank goodness we weren't. It really is just a hotel with a pool, not a spa. On arrival the reception area is very crammed, the door to the staff office was open and we could see all the mess in there, one member of staff was sitting in the waiting area on her mobile phone. The gentleman who greeted us was very polite and helpful. The changing rooms were clean, but very small and cramped. With regard to the treatments mine was fine but unfortunately the therapist who treated my friend was not very good at all. The treatment was cut short by 15 minutes and throughout the massage my friend felt it was all very rushed. The therapist had a bottle of water in the treatment room with her, while I appreciate it was a very hot day, all my friend could hear was the therapist drinking from the bottle which wasn't very relaxing. She also kept stopping mid-massage to drink and she was seated throughout the whole treatment. The therapist was not really interested what my friend would like from her treatment, she was more interested in her bag - asking if it was a fake. We were both excited by the thought of using Decleor products but neither therapist explained what products they were using or whether we would be interested in buying any. This was a shame as we both would have liked to purchase something. With regard to the afternoon tea - too many sweet elements and not enough savoury, there was 9 small finger sandwiches between two, 4 cakes, a meringue and a sweet scone. Again, the gentleman who served us was lovely but unfortunately the actual food was not so great. Overall I'm glad I only paid £109 for the day but with regard to the overall day, feel this was too much.
