Located a short drive from London in the small town of Coggeshall, this restaurant is always receiving the best feedback from both customers and food critics. Situated in a building dating back to the 16th century, this restaurant business was first formed by world famous chef Peter Langan in 1986, while accompanied by his head chef Mark Baumann. This brasserie has achieved various awards and is featured in many magazines and tour guides, and Mark himself has won various awards and has been elected as a Master Chef of Great Britain. He was trained in France by Moet and Chandon, therefore applies absolute perfection to every dish, whether it is for royalty or the customers dining at his brasserie. Baumann is more than just a restaurant owner, he is also an author whose recipes are available through a number of sources, including books and the internet. He has received global recognition and has been entered into the list of The International Who's Who of Chefs. He declares that the restaurant has changed its menu over the years to accommodate for people's changing tastes. Although the service and quality of the food remains at such high levels at Baumanns Brasserie, Mark admits that he has never been a slave to food fashion. Although the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday, it does offer something different in that guests can also partake in the cooking classes held at the restaurant by Mark Baumann himself. The class sizes are a maximum of six people, ensuring that every customer gets the most from their visit.
