From Our Editors

This family-run restaurant operates as two sections: The Killer Buffet and The Killer Curry House. The buffet section boasts a selection of lunch and dinner dishes, while the curry house serves genuine Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine under the eyes of Rasida, a chef with over 25 years of experience. The eatery also stocks their signature Killer Curry Sauces, which are available for purchase on site, and plays host to annual curry contests. The Killer is a BYOB restaurant, and doesn't charge customers with corkage fee.

7 Dishes are a bit less to be classified as a Buffet.

Food was scarce and not very appetising! I finally managed to eat some salad. Not a good sign when you go in and there is only 1 other table occupied, if they had been busy up till then they should have replenished the buffet.

Turned up at 6pm hoping to be early for fresh food, but seemed to catch the leftovers. Naan bread was solid and inedible. Service was very basic. Much better options available elsewhere.

Would not recommend this restaurant. We eat out regularly and this has to be one of the worst meals we have had. Using the Groupon offers, its nice to sample a new place before actually going with friends, but disappointment is an understatement for this restaurant. We went on a Thursday night. There was a basic cafe type section where obviously customers could come in and purchase more basic food. We sat in this area by the window, which was very pleasant and the 2 staff were nice. We discovered it was bring your own bottle. Not a problem, there is a shop nearby where you can probably purchase alchohol. The staff supplied us with a large bottle of 'tap' water which can be filled as often as you want, which was fine. The buffet was small but probably ample for the basic food area. We had a choice of about 5 possibly 6 starters. Although a couple were empty when we first went to the buffet they were eventually replaced and we were able to sample them. There was 6 main courses. As usual we sampled a bit of everything. There was nothing there, like the picture shown on Groupon. The chicken dish was a chicken chopped up with the bones in a thin watery gravy and the lamb dish was the same, except there was more bone than meat. A bit like a watery stew. One of the main dishes was a bit like the starter with lots of peas and rice with a very slight difference. There was a dish a bit like thin mince which tasted quite nice. Nearly all dishes except what I've mentioned were suitable for vegetarians. Mostly spiced up in some way or should I say peppered up. Basic was certainly the operative word. When we were almost finished we noticed a starter being brought out which when we went to check was chicken pakora. Had a couple bits, it was delicious. It was vegetable pakora when we chose our starters. Raw onion had also appeared which had not been there throughout our meal and spiced onions are the one thing I always have, but not on this occasion. I would just add that I can eat practically anything and I am not a fussy eater, but one of my pet hates is bones mixed through my food. Possibly their usual chef was absent on this particular evening. When we went outside, we were passing the main restaurant and there was no'one inside and it is a big restaurant.

Sorry but this place is the worst eatery I have experienced! Arrived at 5.30pm to 2 starters and eventually, 3 main course options (all chicken) waited ages for nans etc Clearly they were not ready for customers but should have been given that they accepted our table booking. To add insult to injury, I had the runs that evening and all the next day. There is a nice pub across the road who do bar food !!!

When we arrived we were pointe to a seat, we had to go up and request water for the table which was very cloudy. The food options were poor with only the dregs of curries and sauces remaining when we arrived at 18:30 on the Sunday. We asked if there would be more pakora (a favourite of mine and my wife at Indian restaurants) and we were told there would be a 15 minutes wait. After about 15 minutes I had to get out of my seat to enquire again at which point I was told that they had run out. To add insult to injury most of the staple of an Indian meal were not present and the only curry that was edible was the chicken tikka masala. When I say edible I am being generous as if you were able to find any chicken in the watery sauce you were rewarded with a dry and tasteless meat. My wife and also intend to leave a similar review on trip advisor etc. as not only did we not enjoy our meal, we left hungry and even when they corked a rather nice bottle of red wine we brought they managed to mess that up too and we had to use forks to pick out all the floating bits of cork. One of the worst experiences in anay restaurant I have every had.
