A quintessentially English stone hotel in the quaint town of Chipping Campden, Cotswold House Hotel and Spa combines over 200 years of history with soft furnishings and mod cons. Charming gardens, shops and picture-perfect thatched buildings await guests on short strolls around the town, while adventurers are able to soak up the hills of the Cotswolds on brisk walks. Stratford-upon-Avon, the birth place of William Shakespeare, sits a 20-minute car journey away, where guests can take in a play, or visit the romantic surrounds of Anne Hathaway’s cottage. The hotel is also at the epicentre of many other main sights, including Banbury, Gloucester, Worcester and Redditch, each reachable within 45 minutes. All rooms feature en suite facilities, a satellite TV and a fridge, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi for keeping in touch with folks back home. Guests have access to tea and coffee making facilities, and also have the option of an evening turn-down service. Achy limbs can relax in the spa, located within a converted coach house in the hotel’s gardens. After a dip in the hydrotherapy pool and a sizzle in the aromatic steam room, guests may opt to take in the rain showers and relaxation suite, with treatments available in one of the six therapy rooms or at the nail bar. Classic, hearty British meals using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible are served throughout the week at The Cotswold Grill Restaurant.
