From Our Editors

Situated amid the Broxbourne greenery, Paradise Wildlife Park is home to 400 animal residents. Visitors can explore the site this March to spot ocelots, armadillos, emus and many other intriguing species. The park regularly holds interactive sessions which may see participants meet big cats, tickle a tapir or feed penguins. Further attractions include a woodland railway, an adventure golf course and an indoor tropical rainforest. Youngsters can stop by an adventure playground, climb a bouncy castle or a paddle at a lagoon. The park plays host to seasonal events, parties and weddings throughout the year.

Went on a weekday before season really started so a lot of activities weren't up & running but just for seeing the animals it's great. Couldn't believe how close to lions you can get (safely of course). The male Lion was in full voice & to listen to his rich deep roar was marvellous & standing about 2 ft away from him illustrates how big, majestic & powerful they are. Big cats for me were my favourite & a cheeky parrot enabled me to hv an extended whistle duet close up & across bird of paradise area. As there weren't many people it meant it was easy to view all animals easily.

We go regularly and my daughter and grandson have a year pass. We love it. Apart from the animals and the friendly staff there is a lot to do. The train and woodland walk are particularly good. There is also a good variety of food for all ages. Well done - we will be back.

Took my little granddaughter. She is only one and maybe a bit young to appreciate everything - she did like the monkeys though! Plenty to do for older children with lots of different play areas. Some of the animals were either not in their enclosures or maybe not on view so a little bit disappointing, some of the areas were being refurbished, the giraffe area being one of them - so no giraffes to see. Having said this, we had a lovely time & everywhere was very clean, the animals looked well cared for and staff very friendly. I would recommend that people go. We stayed about three hours, but families with older children would easily be entertained for much longer.

It would be nice to just use the soft play area & just pay for that facility as its expensive if just using that part alone

This is my favourite place as the animals are really close and I have been taking my daughter her for years and she still loves to go even though she is a teenager now! So many fantastic memories!!!!

Very impressed with the cleanliness of the zoo and the condition of the animals. Made me feel better about the fact that they were in captivity in a relatively small environment. The animals looks very chilled out and relaxed-not stressed at all
