Very bad attitude by the owner when I complained on check out there was no breakfast times information left in our room because we were refused a cooked breakfast when we arrived at 9.28 in the restaurant area the day before and was told breakfast time was 8.30 to 9.30 and they go by his clock but mine is the time from Big Ben !! then he said why are you complaining when you got a cheap deal as if I was a peasants !!! I was disgusted with the way he spoke to me as a customer just because I had booked my break through a Groupon deal !! The room wasn't that clean the duvet was worn out it had loads of holes in it the TV was a small 12 inch very old set and the sound wasn't brilliant!! and they didn't replace our wet towels they just hung them up and put the on a towel rail but I didn't notice it until the next morning when the towels were still damp when I got out of the shower!! There is no way I would pay the full price to stay in that room and wouldn't go back to the Crown inn hotel even if the room was free its old and dated and the carpets throughout are very dirty and stained!! From the picture on Groupon the Crown inn looks nice and friendly but even when we arrived and was checking in there was a problem with the Groupon voucher and hate to ring customer service On 23rd of June for a copy of the voucher and I think this was due to the hotel asking for my reference number back in March ? You can't book into room until 2pm but you can only buy food 12 to 2pm so we hate to wait until after 6pm before they would sell any food it felt like a very regimented hotel regarding meal times!! The only reason why I am putting this complaint in writing is because the owner was so aragont and said put your complaint on TripAdvisor so I will do that as well to you !! Over all a very disappointing say at the Crown inn at Hopton 😱👎
