The service was excellent and staff were very informed, friendly and helpful. I would definitely be going there again and will be recommending Allertons to family and friends.

Wanted to know how to apply make up for a wedding in Sanotorini in August for my son's wedding. The young lady who I had my appointment with was very good and knowledgeable and i learnt a lot. Very happy with experience.

Did not receive a make up lesson only a mini makeover and had to ask for advice - very disappointing.

It wasn't really a make up lesson as advertised - it was just having make up done really. I'd bought it as a lesson - so it wasn't really what we wanted

Dean did an excellent job of my chin-length bob, and Nick really inspired me with his knowledge about skincare. Lovely, good-quality products and a happy, friendly atmosphere in the salon. I had such a lovely time and am looking forward to my next visit already.

I found the whole experience poor from start to finish. I never got offered a drink and most importantly I never got asked to fill in a clients record card. It is important for the company to know if you have any allergies, illnesses or anything contagious. The chair I was sat on, the foot thing kept falling off. I thought it was a makeup lesson and makeover, I only got a make over with a few words of what the 'artist'was doing. I didn't like the eye makeup, I felt like a drag artist and couldn't wait to take it off.. While I was having my makeover a member of staff, a young man with dark head called James kept coming over to use the products that the lady was using on me. As he had acne with spots that were open I feel it is highly unhygienic for him to be coming over to use the brushes. Thankfully my make up was nearly complete as I never saw the brush be cleaned just put on the table ready for it to be used on the next unaware customer. As a business owner I working be happy if the staff were coming in on a morning to use all the products, I witnessed James applying his full pre makeup routine and apply his makeup. If the owner is okay with all the staff using the products everyday that's up to them but I would recommend it not to be in front of the paying customers and the shop window for all passing trade to view. It was pointed out to me the staff use these everyday in the shop, I personally don't think it's appropriate. I arrived earlier for my appointment 9.50 but as they were mooing the floor trying to clean up from the mess the builders left which was not there fault the makeover didn't start till my appointment time of 10. When I was leaving a gentlemen who had been there when I arrived, we walked through the door together got his parking for free do I asked if I could get mine. The makeup artist said yes but a man who I presumed was the manager caking over and was very rude in how he said its for parking over an hour, granted I had been there for 59 minutes but the man who got there when I had had not been for his full hour either. As it was pointed it it was for certain treatment, I think what he meant was not people coming using a groupon voucher, I take it my money wasn't good enough. Maybe I should have pretend I was interested in buying more than the 1 item I purchased to tip me over my hour appointment. I never got asked if I wanted to sign up to the rewards scheme to get the free parking, I feel I wasn't the right clientele for this just. The staff come across as rude and stuck up. I must say A man called Dean was really polite. Unfortunately I won't come ever again or recommend it to anybody

The lady who gave me my make-up lesson/makeover was lovely and explained everything in detail about what she was doing which was great. I liked what she did with the make-up. I did feel a little pressured at the end of the treatment to buy products but I didn't buy anything, but I guess that's where they make their money.
