From Our Editors

Set in the village of Bardsey, The Bingley Arms is a 1000 year-old original English pub which serves up an array of rustic dishes as well as an extensive list of drinks. Featuring an 18th-century stone inglenook fireplace and a Dutch oven used for making bread, the venue invites guests to dine with a touch of history. Specialities such as roast loin of pork or a shank of lamb may be enjoyed, alongside a wide choice of ales and wines from around the world. The pub's chef puts emphasis on quality and aims to source the food locally.

Went for afternoon tea on Thursday. It was really lovely and deceivingly filling. Kath showed us around and told us some of the history of the Inn. Will definitely return.

I had taken a friend with a severe mobility problem and although the food was good and the staff very friendly the pub itself has no disabled facilities such as hand rails or ramps that were obvious and because there are steps into the front entrance and stairs again inside to get to the bar and seating areas it is definitely not user friendly. The pub should be brought up to modern day standards. If there is wheelchair access at the back then it is not obvious as there are no signs. There may be a ramp somewhere at the back of the building but if the weather is bad as it was that day we were told it could be slippery. My friend struggled to get in at the front and had to hold on to a wall and manoeuvre round the plant tubs on the steps to gain access into the building.
