Afternoon tea with cocktails for myself and my friend -perfect. The service was great attentive without being in your face. They make the best strawberry dacherys ever. This was my second visit and would recommend. Well worth a visit.

This was a late birthday treat and it was worth every penny. The sandwiches were soft fresh and the fillings was packed in no skimping there and the coffee was free flowing. The teapot cocktails were lovely we had the gin based one and then stayed and purchased our own after. The only problem was when we meet up we usually end up shopping in Liverpool and didn't, this was due to the lovely relaxed atmosphere of the venue All the staff were really attentive and the dogs friendly. I would definitely recommend

Overall it was a really nice bar but unfortunately I think the atmosphere needs improving if it wants to go down the afternoon tea route. The name has also recently changed which was fine for us, but some might find difficult to locate. Staff were really friendly and the food was nice. Cocktails were amazing! I would go again so it must have been good.

The Masonic Bar has now changed its name to Hope Street Cocktail Bar just for info. The premises are very nice, very very clean, modern & comfortable. We had the prosecco afternoon tea which was very nice, a great selection of finger sandwiches & cakes, the scones were so soft they broke up when I cut in to mine, the cream was nice & soft too as was the jam, I can't fault the food at all, it was lovely, however... my wife & I have had several afternoon teas with prosecco & have always been offered a pot of tea too, this venue didn't offer tea & I can only assume this was because we'd chosen the prosecco, though I cannot be certain, all in all though a really nice afternoon tea.

The owner was lovely and really did his best, prosecco went down a treat but the food looked a bit tired.

The restaurant was busy, there was only 2 staff on duty, they were quite stretched. The service did not reflect the theme of Mad Hatters tea party.
