The story of Jamie's Italian began when Jamie Oliver, supported by his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, opened the first restaurant in Oxford in 2008. Since then, the kitchen's experienced chefs have been committed to bringing a piece of Italy to customers all over the UK, with a menu combining traditional recipes and quality ingredients with innovative ideas and Jamie's signature twist. Guests can savour an array of dishes, including freshly made pasta, as well as steaks, pizzas and salads that can be complemented by a fine selection of wine and cocktails.
The food was a disappointment very bland
Don’t bother! We ordered our food, bothhe starter and main came out which they couldn’t really explain why so I refused to accept the main at that present time which they were reluctant to take back. The waiter came over to reassure us a new one would be made. Once the starter had been finished, our main food came out all most instantly! I ordered pasta which was stone cold!! And dry from sitting in the kitchen waiting for us to be ready! I sent it back 15 minute later I got a new one by this time my partner had finished his meal. Once we had both finished we ordered the bill and we waited over 15 minutes for them to bring it to us asking more than 3 times what was going on now visiting on a Sunday evening when they had very few customers there was no excuse! My whole experienced was ruined and I won’t be returning to another Jamie Oliver restaurant again anywhere!! My suggest would be to not even bothered and we never even got a sorry!!!!!

I’ve been to Jamie’s in Westfield Stratford many times always happy - but this occasion the whole experience was terrible alongside my 2 children. We waited hours for food and dessert, drinks were forgotten. The waiter was very rude when I mentioned our Groupon deal grabbing the menus we had been given - saying it was not these ones we needed although I knew they were the correct menus. He brought back the same menu. I felt pressured to leave a tip and when didn’t due to the very bad service felt the bad atmosphere. All in a all a very bad experience.
Delicious food, generous portions, great service, attractive restaurant.
Could be better menus not much to chose from
We were treated differently with our Groupon vouchers.
I used muscles I didn’t know existed to chew my steak
When I voiced this, I was told that I asked for the steak well done & they did offer another.
Waiting over 30 min for this course put me off this.
