The menu at Number 1 Bar is holds a diverse range of dishes. The chef has over two decades of experience, with South French cuisine as his speciality, and the Grill and Steakhouse has recently been relaunched with a more sophisticated theme, including a grill section and a Spanish paella. Lastly, every Friday and Saturday evening is club night, with a DJ taking to the decks to provide the music. The bar is ideal for socialising, with ping pong, six pool tables and a foosball table, arcade games dotted around, and major sporting events shown on the large screen.

Although the service was great the food was not good at all. We were very disappointed with the menu and the quality of food. It's a shame.

Hi Edwin I just wanted to drop you a short line following on from my friend and I visiting you last night and thought I would share a little feedback. On the whole the meal was nice but I thought you may like to know our thoughts. THE STARTERS I love Prawns and Scallops but I was disappointed with the combination. It would have been better to have had the sauce in a small jug or dipping bowl rather than smothered over the top. The presentation was ok....... but very pub classic style.... I feel you are trying to rise above that but as it stands it is not quality appearance to the eye. * perhaps you should either expose the prawn tails or remove them as that was an incredible awful crunch in your mouth. * the sauce piece as above * The Pineapple should have had the rind/husk cut off and/or the centre core to make is easy to eat. you do not allow enough room on the plate with the scallop shells to be able to cut the rind and and chop to eat. The spring rolls for a starter should really have had a slight change instead of chips, something else offered and adapted. THE MAINS * Both had the sirloin steaks were very tough but the taste was nice. I do feel that you could at least offer chips or salad for free with the meal and anything else charged on top. * No sauces were offered when the meal were bought to us and when I tried to gain someones attention to ask it took a while. Their awareness is poor. TOILETS You really need to do regular inspections!! dreadful state! I have to say that had I have been a full paying guest I would have been incredibly fed up so thank goodness for groupon to allow a visit at a great price to see if it is worth coming back again................. based upon last nights standards i very much doubt it. I noticed the guy who asked for a coffee and good a centimetre of coffee at the bottom of his glass coffee cup and the rest was squirty cream which was shocking and totally unappealing, it looked like a mr whippy from an ice cream van so at least we knew not to have one but surprisingly when the guy called the waiter over and questioned it still was not exchanged. I am sorry to say but to enable yourself to work and get returning customers with the prices you charge you really need to have a top end quality restaurant. The staff were ok by not particularly attentive, menu presentation desperately needs attention and It would lead me to believe it was not a trained chef in the kitchen. Anyway, I wanted to bring this to your attention because if you dont get to hear customer feedback you will find yourself in a bit of a predicament if things continue the way they are. I had really hoped that this would have been a more appealing visit but anyway it was nice that you came to say hello.
