The staff were so accommodating in making sure we wer comfortable and had enough space moving us to comfy chairs and room to fit the buggy. Attentive service and beautiful selection of sandwiches and cakes all beautifully presented :) my 6 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed her first afternoon tea

Went for a “mad hatters tea” this afternoon with 2 friends brought through groupon, we purchased one voucher for 1 person and one for 2 people. I rang ahead to ensure that we would be seated together and the man that answered the phone was so busy having another conversation he missed everything I said...so I asked did you get that? And he replied oh sorry the line broke up can you repeat that please....was not happy considering I heard him chatting away and ignoring me!!! VERY RUDE. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and stuck with it... when we arrived We received a menu for loads of different tea which we were told was unlimited, the waitress stood impatiently waiting less than a minute before repeating "so what one do you want then?" We then were presented with half a plate of triangle sandwhiches... when I say half a plate I mean there was 3 chicken and salad, 3 tuna and sweetcorn and 3 grated cheese TRIANGLES.... not even a whole sandwiches of each type, and we weren’t asked if those fillings suited us! Luckily none of us are that fussy or allergic/veggie/vegan! After seeing another table with 4 people they received TWO full plates of sandwiches - they obviously had the same deal as us due to props etc...Feeling deflated at the small amount we had received, we thought okay...see what comes next! We then were given a cake stand with several different types of “cakes” 3 very dry over lemony cup cakes that were awful... and all of the petit fours that were quite frankly not nice. None of which were traditional as advertised on groupon!! And again we had no choice of cakes. On the stand was 1 very small scone each along side two bowls of jam and cream! whilst eating some of the dry cupcake we asked for more tea, waitress wrote the order down and said she’d bring it back over... after 20 minutes of watching the many waitresses/waiters serve everyone else in the restaurant (which was in my opinion wasn't busy) we asked again for the tea reminding them that we had asked and wanted the tea... after another 10 mins we were fed up so got our coats on to leave, at that point both the waitresses we had asked came rushing over asking us if we wanted to take the rest of the cakes we hadn’t eaten away with us, we had not even eaten half of them as they were awful! So our reply was obviously no! Very confused the waitress who had written down what tea we wanted half hour before asked if everything had been okay which I said it wasn't due to the fact that we’d asked for tea and didn’t get any more and the serving sizes and choices were not as advertised or as we would have liked! As for the ‘Mad hatter’ tea we were given some cut outs on sticks of various signs and three cardboard hats on tinfoil...the other table who clearly had the same experience as us were given a lot more props and actual hats etc... All in all we came away hungry and rather annoyed that we’d traveled an hour to the destination for what we thought would be a fun afternoon tea and honestly it was the worst one I’ve ever been to! Wouldn't waste your money! and I am still waiting for groupon to do something about the fact the experience was completely different to what had been advertised and therefore breaking trading standards!

It was quite cold in there and waited half an hour for a pot of tea before having to ask again for it and wait another 15 mins.

Firstly when I arrived they told me I’d booked for two people when I had actually booked for four. I had even called up the day before to confirm this. Unlimited tea? But when asked for more it never arrived. Waiting ages for the cakes and when they did arrived to the table they were frozen. Mad hatters theme? Nothing mad hatters about it. Huge disappointment.
