Although we were offered an upgrade to our voucher, I was a little disappointed that our Groupon vouchers/ subscription did not entitle us to free return entry for 12 months as per full admittance charge.

The staff that work in the Castle were fantastic (particularly 2 men near the exit, can't remember their names though). They were really knowledgable about the history and seemed genuinely happy in their work and were happy and interested to talk to us. A fantastic day out that we will do again this year.

It would be good if you could visit both the castle and carols and lights. Or have the stall open for the day visitors

I really enjoyed my visit on site, but I believe our experience didn't started because of the transfer from the station to Leeds Castle. Although your website does mention about a shuttle bus, it doesn't make it clear about the fact that is's actually paying and that the price differs in Summer or Winter months. It turned out the price of £12 for the shuttle bus (which we had to bargain from £14) was still more expensive than a taxi. We decided to book a taxi instead and had the advantage of choosing our own pick-up times. The shuttle bus last pick up time was about 3.45 in the afternoon. Rather early when the castle itself closes at 5pm. I think under your Getting to Leeds Castle section on your website, there should be more mention of the fact that transfers are chargeable but more more importantly that fees are seasonal. Then you can have your link to get more details about the costs on another web page. Just a thought but would ensure visitors are better prepared and the experience start as good as possible. We lost time arguing with the shuttle bus driver and then waiting for the taxi to arrive. The experience just wasn't very smooth.
