Visited for a spa day with afternoon tea in October. Beautiful hotel in glorious surroundings. Treatments were excellent and afternoon tea delicious. But the staff are the best and make you feel really special. Thank you for a lovely day.

Being a full time carer this was the perfect treat for a much needed day off! Friendly and efficient staff. Spa facilities, simple but perfect for the day. Treatment rooms clean, warm and well presented. Treatment professionally and considerately delivered. Afternoon tea - a perfect end to a wonderful day… and oh yes, the grounds and manor are stunning.

l would rate this a 4 star for the following reasons there was no jacuzzi, only a few sandwiches for the afternoon tea but loads of deserts and the treatments were more like 20 minutes rather then the time given. It would have been nice to be offered a complementary how drink on arrival but all hot drinks needed payment. The steam room is very small can only fit 4 people in and sauna 6 people. What was great was the customer service very polite staff. We were offered more drinks for our afternoon tea and one of the guests requested a latte rather than a normal coffee which was provided. It would have been good if the coffee options were offered rather than the guest asking for it. One guest was vegetarian and the staff accommodated asking questions to match her dietary requirements which was great. The facilities were all clean. The grounds were beautiful and the interior was lovely and cosy.

I have given 4 stars simply because was disappointed thet there was no jacuzzi . As I am a little claustrophobic I don’t like steam rooms or saunas. I was with my friend and jacuzzi’s are a great place to relax and have conversations. However the place was lovely , Bryony who did my head neck and shoulder massage was lovely and very attentive. Lunch was good , but the IPs could have been hotter. The gardens were amazing
