I would let customers put their own cream and jam on the scones, rather pre-prepared by the staff. The setting for the afternoon teas is lovely a relaxed atmosphere, staff are attentive but not over bearing, Katherine served us and she was great.

The cream tea was not good at all, the scones were stale even thou warmed up with the jam and cream already placed on the scone and the cream was melting into the scone, the jam and cream should have been served separatelyThe cakes were not homemade and really non descript and having cold roast beef in samdwiches which was left over from lunch and was not really an afternoon tea sandwich. I would not reccomend an Afternoon Tea at Cricket St Thomas but would reccomend a visit to the house and gardens.
