The Crown is set in the middle of the lovely village of Tarporley. As we were early we asked if we could use the car park. After walking thru the village we came back and was offered warm drinks. We popped out again for lunch. Heather and Graham had only taken over the hotel within a week but they were so nice and accomodating. They offered to take our case upstairs to our room. We had room one. It was basic but clean. Plenty of towels and toiletries in the bathroom. Also plenty of tea coffee and hot chocolate. The room overlooked the main road. No traffic was heard with window closed. The meal in the evening was lovely. The locals in the pub part of the hotel were friendly. Breakfast started a bit late for us at 9 but as it was Saturday it was no big deal. The cereal and toast was basic. We never had a cooked breakfast but it looked great. I would definitely go again.
