Communication was poor. No-one officially greeted us or told us where to go. The girls who took the horses out were great but got back to courtyard, then what? Just left standing to fathom things out so we just left. On a positive note, what they did during the hour was great!

Thanks for not treating 2 older ladies who thought they could ride like idiots. We had a great lesson and have booked again.

This was sold as a lesson but was really just a steady plod on the ponies. I told the lady who was supposed to teach that my older daughter could canter and she said they would just be walking and trotting. My older girl was led most of the lesson as she wasn't encouraged to make her pony move. Myself and my MIL encouraged my younger daughter to do a rising trot as she was left to just bump up and down. Her heels were never checked and she was not holding her reigns correctly. So by and large they learnt nothing. My MIL came along as she was interested in having her bad riding habits corrected by coming for lessons but we all left with a definite no. Unfortunately for the riding school a few of our friends and acquaintances knew we were coming for the lesson and have since asked how it went and we have told them ,so that is not what I would imagine the school hoped to gain from using Groupon. If it had been sold as a beginners lesson or a gentle hack I wouldn't have been so disappointed but I bought it as a one hour lesson and that it most definitely wasn't.
