Beyond regular visits, Techniquest Glynd_r puts on seasonal events that provide a scientific take on themes like Halloween and Winter. Stargazers can also sign up for an astronomy club, which includes sessions in the Planetarium, and kids can join a Lego club which helps little ones open up their creative minds. The centre also hosts birthday parties and toddler days.

We have been many times before, such a good place for inquisitive children. Lots to do with daily free shows.

We visited in the school holidays with our 7yo & toddler. Both loved it! It was easy to find, you just follow signs for the University, and there was plenty of parking. No problem redeeming the voucher, the staff on reception are very friendly & helpful and the staff in the rooms keep on top of resetting activities, talking to children about how things work and the science behind it. Everything is hands-on with visitors working out how to do things themselves, with help if needed. There is also a show that you can go to and children are chosen to go on stage to help with demonstrations and then are invited to try out the chair of nails after the show (be careful to sit down properly, my daughter scraped her legs on the edge & drew blood, they are definitely real nails!) We went a few years ago when our daughter was younger and she loved it then too, it appeals to a good age range. It is definitely somewhere that we would recommend.

Excellent place to visit with children. Lots of science based fun activities. We spent 4 hours there and the children (11year olds) would have stayed longer. Go for opening time and take a packed lunch. You're given wristbands when you book in so you can go out to eat then go back in. The cafe only had drinks and snacks. Staff we're on hand to help and were pleasant and helpf
