A neo-classical Victorian building dating from the 1840s, De Grey Rooms originally hosted the Yorkshire Hussars’ officers’ mess. Balls and concerts have been held within its spacious walls across three different centuries, from wartime dances to modern day weddings. Located close to the Minster and fully restored to its original splendour, the building provides an elegant venue for all manner of occasions. The bright and airy ballroom is illuminated by natural light from the ceiling, highlighting rows of striking chandeliers.
