The Deal

Two or four diners will be able to sit down to a steak meal at this central Belfast venue. Each visitor will receive an 8oz rump steak, served with onions, mushrooms, chunky chips and a selection of sauces, while each pair will receive a bottle of white, red or rose house wine to share. Options are also available to include a starter such as soup, tomato, olive and basil brushetta or chicken wings. Tables can be booked for meals between midday and 6pm Monday to Wednesday, midday to 9pm on Thursdays, and midday to 10 on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Merchant

Located in Belfast city centre and established in 2013, Aether and Echo looks to evoke lost ages of wonder and invention through a combination of food, mixed beverages, striking decor and song. From the same team behind Love and Death Inc, the venue takes care to inject a little Irish charm to help ground its concept, with the range of seasonal, lunch and dinner menus offering hearty local dishes alongside tantalising continental-style options and beyond.

Aether and Echo has scored 4/5 on TripAdvisor while also gathering over 8,300 Facebook likes to date. Several recent visitors were keen to note the personable staff, as well as the standard of the cocktails, while others noted some of the more old-school aspects of the decor, such as the booths.
