The Black Sheep Brewery is the birthplace of Yorkshire's signature Black Sheep ales. Located in Masham, nine miles from Ripon, it is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales in verdant surrounds, sitting high on the banks of the river Ure. As well as tours of the brewery, visitors can sample the fruits of its labour in the bar area, or enjoy some local fare from the bistro, which takes advantage of the produce which is available locally and serves food for a variety of occasions.
Previous visitors to Black Sheep have praised the selection of ales and the atmosphere, along with the knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff.

“I really enjoyed the meal I had using the Groupon voucher so returned a few days later but I was not happy at all. I was with my daughter and we had a cake and a drink, the brownie my daughter had was nice but not worth £3.95- just too expensive. My fruit cake had been cut and kept is a chiller cabinet and was dry and rather thin, there was no price displaed anywhere for the brownie All the staff except the girl behind the bar looked like they had just attended a funeral!”
“Yes your beer is lovely and so nice to have a local brewery. Plus a great Restaraunt to sit, eat and enjoy”
