A lovely afternoon tea experience with my sister who’s in town. We were greeted and served exceptionally well by Mohammed and Vesna. Our dietary needs were well taken care of too. Definitely a revisit at this branch! Location: Piccadilly

Cake is super big and price is very good. But I think I like Patisserie cakes better, as patisserie cakes are lighter in taste. You can't fault this experience though, they even deliver the cake to Imperial college campus for me for free, the headquarters people who made cakes are wonderful, but the branch people at Westfield are so easy to work with. Overall, such an excellent value. The cake is a lot for 3 people, excellent value and services.

When we arrived at New Kensington Cafe Concerto I couldn’t find my confirmation email so we had to wait about 5 minutes while they decided what to do. However, when the manager (?) became involved there was no problem and we were given a table (I later found and showed him the email!) The waiters were pleasant and unobtrusive. The inside of the cafe is beautiful - lots of gold and huge chandeliers. After that it was downhill! One coffee and a small pot of tea, fairly nice sandwiches but the scones weren’t cooked properly so I had to pick the middle bits out and the cakes were too sweet (even for me and I have a sweet tooth) A very small pot of clotted cream between us! The Prosecco didn’t appear until we asked for it after we had eaten! Having the Groupon voucher softened the blow but I won’t be returning.

The gateaux was lovely and couldn’t be faulted. Redeeming the voucher was a different story. The voucher said to call the store that you wanted to collect the cake from to make the order. Not so, you need to call the actual place they are made, not the store. The voucher doesn’t have the correct instructions. The person I spoke to at the store was not very helpful and quite rude. I was begrudgingly given the right information.
