The Deal
Upping their fitness in army fashion, regiments of workout soldiers can engage in bootcamp battle over eight weeks worth of sessions (usually £25 a month). At the urban green spots of Leverhulme or Westhoughton Central Park, squads will partake in 60-minute sessions at an intensity that suits them, with the trainers leading them through circuit and strength training designed to increase their endurance and speed.

Adults can choose between three ability groups: novice, intermediate and advanced, each differing in intensity but all featuring comprehensive fitness training, nutritional advice, and tips on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The squad is commanded by a Royal Army Physical Training Corps member, with over 17 years of military fitness experience.
