- The Guard Change may not be operational in bad weather conditions. On these occasions, we will visit the Horse Guards for a photo stop instead.
- Changing of the Guard days can get very busy, and people with large luggage, prams and strollers may find it difficult to navigate the area.
The Royal Walk
- Enjoy a wonderful 90-minute walking tour through the heart of London led by an expert guide. Visit several spectacular Royal sites and learn fascinating facts and information about the British Royal family.
- During this walking tour, discover the magnificent St James’ Palace which was commissioned by the notorious Henry VIII and is now the London residence of Princesses Anne.
- You’ll of course also visit Buckingham Palace and watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony (when available). We know the perfect place to stand so you get a fabulous video or photo opportunity as they pass by!
- As you walk by The Mall, you’ll see Clarence House, where King Charles and Queen Camilla live when in London. With any luck you may see them leaving or arriving in their motorcade!
- Follow this with a walk-through of St James’s, one of the most historic areas of central London, taking in the city’s oldest wine shop, hat shop (from 1676!) and Prince Philip’s barbers, among other sights.
- See the secret courtyard where some of the last sword duels in London took place, and hear about the many mistresses of King Charles II.
- There is so much to see on this entertaining stroll through the heart of this historic district, finishing at Horse Guards - the royal parade ground where each year the monarch’s official birthday is celebrated in a stunning military parade called Trooping the Colour.
Buckingham Palace Entry

- Inside is the famous Coronation Chair, which has been the seat for the crowning of every monarch since 1308, as well as Poets' Corner, a literary corner dedicated to poets and writers such as Shakespeare and Charles Dickens.
- It is also the burial site of UK monarchs and eight former Prime Ministers.
- An included multimedia guide will provide interesting facts about the Abbey as you journey through it.
