The Event
The final day of the Sainsbury’s British Championships will be the culmination of a three-day contest between the best athletic talent in the UK. Men and women from Britain and Northern Ireland will be fighting it out in a host of disciplines including 100m sprinting, hurdles, high jump, javelin, pole vault and 5000m. As well as the glory of being crowned British champion in their field, contestants will be looking to book their place in the team for the upcoming IAAF World Championships. They’ll be aiming to match the success of the 2014 championship winners, including Dwain Chambers who won his eighth British 100m title and Martyn Rooney who clinched his fifth 400m title.
