The Deal
Motorcycling novices can get rolling with a Driving Standards Agency-approved Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) course with BikeRite. The course is designed to get motorcycle and moped riders to a level where they are able to comfortably ride in various traffic conditions and must be taken before legally heading onto the road. The course – which lasts one full day – includes helmet hire and is designed to ensure that new bikers can operate their bike and handle the bumps and bends of the road safely. The course covers controls, signals, road signs, and more, and must be passed satisfactorily to become road legal. If customers haven’t yet got their own wheels, a bike or scooter for the day can be selected from the fleet for an additional £30.

Must be able to read a number plate from 20 metres away. £30 supplementary charge for bike hire must be paid by calling 01416 472208 upon booking. DSA required standard must be achieved before CBT certificate is issued; this is not guaranteed on the day and additional training may be required. This can be arranged for a fee. Courses may be cancelled due to adverse weather.
