The Deal

During a three-hour workshop at Inlight, crafters can create three festive inspired ornaments using specialised glass and accessories. To help the design process, attendees can use the bubble pen and silver flakes to give the ornaments a winter wonderland vibe. All materials and refreshments are included and once designs have been fired up in the kiln, they can be collected around two weeks later or delivered for a surcharge.

Groupon Asks glassmaker Chantal Mesnard to tell us more about her workshops and some previous students' sparkling creations.

G: What's the appeal of glass fusion?

"People find the whole process fascinating, because unless you have learned the techniques, it’s a rather mysterious art form. Visitors often ask me 'How did you put this pattern in the glass?' or 'How did you create this shape?'"

G: What are the workshops like?

"I share all my tips and secret techniques so you can really discover how the process works. You might get to use the glass grinding machine too, which is totally addictive!"

G: What sort of things can we make?

"One of my recent students did the workshop to make the jewellery she will wear at her wedding. Fantastic!"

G: Which famous person would you love to walk through your door and why?

"A few celebrities have purchased my work - no name dropping, but they definitely left with a sparkle in their eye."
