The Deal

A touch of horseplay can be had at Tannoch Stables, with a 90-minute horse riding lesson (usually £40) for one in the heart of the rolling Lanarkshire countryside. Students can learn how to be smooth in the saddle, as they trot, canter within the indoor paddock. Participants have the choice of attending their lesson on a weekday or at the weekend or evenings.

• £16 for Monday to Friday (60% off)

• £18 for evenings and weekends (55% off)

The Merchant

Graded as a five star riding centre by Visit Scotland, Tannoch Stables is located in Cumbernauld, a short distance from Glasgow, and enjoys a wide range of facilities for horses and ponies, as well as their riders. With 200 acres of Scottish countryside, there is plenty of room for a giddying gallop, and an indoor paddock allows riders to stay in the saddle no matter the weather. The stables have also been scored as ‘Highly Commended’ by the British Horse Riding Society for a range of things including customer care, their arenas and working procedures.
