Was very busy when we went so were placed in a private room which was beautiful! The sandwiches were nice and were a good variety. Very soft bread. The Prosecco was lovely and so were the scones. The cakes were lovely and bountiful although I prefer individual cakes rather than a square cut from a whole cake. What let’s it down slightly is the ‘tea’ aspect! You are offered a cup of tea, or coffee or cappuccino, hot chocolate. There’s no range of teas or fruit teas, no tea pots or loose tea, just English Breakfast tea! Hence 4/5. Love the Montcalm though as always a luxury exp
I have returned here as the atmosphere was lovely we were not rushed in any way which made it nice and relaxing. Nice food and replaced our drink without any fuss which adds to the relaxation as they deliver what they say. As I said in my previous review if they at least replenished the sandwiches this would go to the top of the list of afternoon tea experiences.
