The Treatment
What is a dental crown?
Crowns are used to entirely cover damaged teeth in order to restore their function and appearance. If a tooth is missing, an implant can be placed to hold the crown in place, with or without bone augmentation.
What happens at sessions?
A consultation will be carried out in advance, and if the client is found to be suitable, the implant and crown will be installed at a subsequent treatment session. Radiographic images will be taken if deemed necessary and a bone augmentation is also available, using the patient’s own bone. If artificial bone is needed there will be a surcharge.
What preparation is required?
Patients are required to have had a recent (not less than 3 months), full mouth dental examination to exclude the presence of caries, gum disease and Oral health deterioration.
The Merchant
Tooting Bec Dental offer a host of services, ranging from general and cosmetic dentistry to implants. Sedation dentistry options are also available if clients would prefer, along with hygienist appointments. Located a short walk from Tooting Bec Tube station, the practice opens its doors six days a week, with after hours emergencies also catered for.

Please arrive 20 min before session; voucher will be made void if customer is over 15-minutes late. CT scans are not mandatory but maybe required subject to initial consultation non-refundable surcharge of £99 payable to a referral centre. Bone Augmentation using patients own bone or artificial bone; if artificial bone is needed, there will be a surcharge. Must be 18 or older. New customers only. Must sign waiver. The patient is required to have had a recent (not less than 3 months) full mouth dental examination to exclude the presence of caries, gum disease and oral health deterioration, prior to proceeding with dental implant placement. A full mouth clinical examination can be arranged to be carried out and paid for at Tooting Bec Dental at additional fees to that of the voucher. Day Clinic observation required. Local Anaesthesia included. Not suitable for pregnant women or customers with the following medical conditions: heart diseases; recent infarcts; active cancer; strongly irradiated jaw bones those smoking 20 or more cigarettes a day, patients taking long term bisphosphonate based drug therapy, or patients undergoing radiotherapy to the head or neck. If the client is deemed unsuitable, customer has 72 hours from completion of consultation to request a full refund. Surcharge for artificial bone. GDC: 77087 and 76900.
