Buzzing with music, art, food and drink, the Carmelite Aberdeen is much more than just a place to sleep. Sunday sessions see cabaret singers and jazz quartets take to the stage, while the lounge bar features a baby grand piano. The restaurant serves nibbles, meals, afternoon teas and roast dinners, alongside a range of drinks like wine, beer and cocktails. Overnight guests have a choice of ‘designed’ or ‘dapper’ rooms, each with Freeview television, en suite bathrooms and Wi-Fi access as standard.

Shocking amount of time to wait for a meal, staff clearly couldn’t cope with a function and people waiting for a meal.

Booked weeks ahead and on arrival told there is no booking.
There was a guy singing which was way too loud and could not hold a conversation in our group. It was so bad - no one wants that experience for an afternoon tea.

We had a lovely afternoon tea with sandwiches, mini bagels, mini cakes, scones & jam with real clotted cream. They will give you another pot of tea or coffee on request at no extra charge. We found the surrounding pleasant & the staff are very nice.
