It is a venue I had never been to before, but as soon as we entered I thought, 'hmm, this is different'. The member of staff who greeted us was very friendly and enthusiastic, as we were brought to our table, which I must say was perfectly located. At that stage, which was about 18:45, I thought that there might eventually be 25-30 guests in attendance. How wrong was I? The place steadily, but rapidly filled and I'm pretty sure it became a full house. We were brought our 2 glasses of proseco, both for me as my partner was driving. I ordered the smoked salmon for my starter and the pork belly for my main. I have been to 5 star restaurants where the starters were very miserable compared to this salmon dish. It was more than adequate and extremely tasty. The pork belly dish was packed full of flavour and in no way insufficient, though I did order some parmisan frys just for the hell of it. The 4 actors were wonderful and offered themselves up willingly to be questioned at various tables. The plot was sufficiently twisted to keep me guessing right until the end. Be careful not to go down any rabbit holes and blind alleys, and don't ignore the obvious. In the end we didn't crack the crime, more skirted around it. It's an absolute guarantee that we will go back for more murder and mystery. 10/10
