Nestled cosily between the South Downs and the sea, Stanmer House is an 18th-century Grade II-listed manor house designed by the French architect Nicholas Dubois in a distinct Palladian style. With a separate afternoon tea menu and tasteful dinner nights accompanied by live jazz shows, Stanmer now strives to attract a most demanding clientele. The venue can also be hired for all sorts of private functions and parties, including lavish weddings. Having undergone a change of ownership, the house and gardens are being revamped to offer silver service dining, a new bar and marquee and a programme of events. The venue boasts three dining rooms.
