G: What is the atmosphere like in the cafe?

“We wanted to create a funky, trendy cafe in the heart of Maidstone. We have chilled-out music playing in the background and soft comfy chairs and sofas, too. The artwork is always changing in the gallery, adding to the attraction.”

G: What’s the secret to the best cup of tea?

“It has to be in a proper cup and saucer. For our afternoon tea service, we use vintage, mismatched china. The tea needs to brew for at least two minutes with a good quality English breakfast tea. Add milk to taste or if you’re like me, add a slice of lemon…perfect.”

G: What’s the best part of your job?

“Since we opened in December of last year, I’ve enjoyed the thrill of seeing people enjoy our handmade culinary creations.”
